Green Named MAC West Division Player Of The Week

MUNCIE, Ind. - Senior guard Porchia Green (Indianapolis, Ind./Arlington) of the Ball State University women's basketball team has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the league office today. This is Green's third time this season to garner such honors.
Green averaged 15.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists helping the Cardinals defeat Eastern Michigan 68-59 and Western Michigan 80-61 last week. Green scored 18 points at Eastern Michigan and earned a double-double against Western Michigan after netting 12 points, pulling down 10 boards and dishing out six assists. Green helped the Cardinals reach the 20-win plateu and secure a bye in the Mid-American Conference Tournament.
The Ball State University women's basketball team will pay tribute to its seniors Green, Kiley Jarrett and Dana Moorman Wednesday at home against Northern Illinois. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. in Worthen Arena. The Cardinals currently lead the MAC West Divison.
