OXFORD, Ohio ? The Ball State men's basketball team suffered a 59-41 loss Wednesday night to Mid-American Conference rival Miami at Millett Hall. The loss drops the Cardinals to 10-10 on the season and 5-3 in MAC play while the RedHawks improve to 13-7 overall and 6-2 in conference action.
“Give credit to Miami, they fought hard and competed for everything tonight,” head coach Billy Taylor said. “We did not rise to the challenge and compete how we needed to. I was very disappointed in our effort in a lot of areas.”

The RedHawks broke the game open and took control with a 16-3 run to take a 49-31 lead. The Cardinals committed six turnovers in eight possessions during the run as Miami out-scored Ball State 34-19 in the second half.
