Gratton Named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District

MUNCIE, Ind. - Junior forward Danielle Gratton of the Ball State University women's basketball team, will be among 40 players on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American Division I women's basketball ballot. Gratton, who was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V Team, is eligible for Academic All-American honors.
Gratton has started all 25 games for the Cardinals this season. She averages 12.8 points per game while leading the team in rebounding with 7.2 a contest. Gratton has helped the
Joining Gratton on the All-District five ballot were Kristi Cirone of Illinois State, Alyssa Karel from Wisconsin, Agnieszka Kulaga of Valparaiso and Kelsey Luna from Indiana State.
In order to be eligible for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America program, which is selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20 and be at least a sophomore in school. The national ballot will consist of the first team honorees from each of eight districts around the country. The basketball Academic All-America teams will be announced later this year.
