
Field Hockey Suffers Loss To Chippewas 4-0

Central Michigan took control of the game, logging 19 shots to 10. The Cardinals also trailed in penalty corner opportunities as the Chippewas nearly doubled their opportunities with a 14-7 advantage. Six Ball State players recorded at least one shot on goal, but were unable to find the back of the net.
Central Michigan earned seven shots with five penalty corners before Ball State was forced to take a timeout in the first period. Minutes later the Cardinals were able to attempt three penalty corner opportunities in a span of two minutes. However, Ball State managed just four shots during the first 35 minutes while giving up two goals.
The Chippewas found two more goals in the second period despite goalkeeper Tiffany Shifflett's efforts with seven games in the game. Elizabeth Blaum also added a defensive save, her third this season.
