Women's Basketball Travels To Western Michigan Saturday

Scouting Ball State: The Cardinals opened Mid-American Conference play Wednesday at home against Eastern Michigan. BSU earned a 62-55 victory over the Eagles starting league play at 1-0. This is the third season in a row Ball State has won its season opener. Junior forward Danielle Gratton earned her third double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman forward Jade Barber had a season best 12 points in which she scored in the Cardinals 14-0 run in the first half. Sophomore forward Emily Maggert and senior guard Porchia Green each chipped in 10 apiece. Ball State owns an 8-6 overall record and they are 1-0 in the MAC. BSU travels to Western Michigan Saturday for a 2 p.m. tipoff in University Arena.
Scouting Western Michigan: The Broncos enter Saturday's contest with a 4-10 overall record. WMU dropped its league opener to Toledo 69-64 Wednesday night in University Arena. Senior guard Tiera DeLaHoussaye led WMU with 24 points. The Broncos are 1-3 at home and have posted non-conference wins over Iona College, Central Conneticut, Chicago State and UC Irvine. The Broncos new head coach this season is Tasha McDowell.
Series History: This is the 59th meeting between the two school's. EMU leads the all-time series record 32-27, but Ball State has won the last three meetings.
Next Up: The Cardinals return home to Worthen Arena as they take on Central Michigan Wednesday and Toledo Saturday. The CMU game will begin at 7 p.m. The contest against Toledo will state at 1 p.m.
