
Men's Tennis Loses To No. 16 Michigan, 6-1

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Ball State University men's tennis team (1-2) fell to No. 16 Michigan (2-0) 6-1 Saturday evening at the Varsity Tennis Center. The Wolverines had a Mid American Conference double-header Saturday posting a 6-1 win over Western Michigan earlier in the day. Michigan is now 13-0 all-time over Ball State.
In doubles play Ball State dropped all three of its matches beginning with seniors Jose Perdomo and Jorge Rodriguez who fell 8-6 to Andrew Mazlin and George Navas at No. 1. The Cardinals went down in order against the Wolverines in the doubles point.
The lone Cardinal to win a match over the Wolverines was newcomer Cliff Robinson who earned a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Mike DePietro at No. 6. Perdomo played a close match at No. 2 to Mike Sroczynski but lost 2-6, 7-6(4), 1-0(6).
The Ball State University men's tennis team will host Dayton Saturday at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. The match will begin at 1 p.m.
