Softball Announces 2009 Schedule

MUNCIE, Ind. ? The Ball State softball team revealed its 2009 spring schedule, starting with a three-game series beginning Feb. 20, in Athens, Ga. Ball State's third-year head softball coach Craig Nicholson announced the Cardinals will play in four tournaments in Georgia, Arkansas and Florida.
The softball team's home opener is scheduled for 2 p.m. March 18, versus Valparaiso in a doubleheader. Ball State's Mid-American Conference home opener is set for 1 p.m. March 27, where the Cardinals will face Central Michigan.
The Cardinals will host 13 games at BSU Softball Complex this season, 10 of which are Mid-American Conference games.
