Lindsay Shade Hired As Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State women's basketball first-year head coach Kelly Packard has announced the hiring of Lindsay Shade to fill the final spot on her staff this season.
"Lindsay has an extremely mature mind for the technical aspects of the game," said Packard. "Her experience on the staff at Pitt alongside well-respected head coach Agnus Beranto developed her coaching understanding at an accelerated pace. Those skills were further complemented during her coaching experience at Holy Cross. Lindsay will work with our perimeter skill development, offensive special situations and transition defense."
Shade spent from 2006-08 at the College of the Holy Cross as an assistant coach. She helped lead Holy Cross to two consecutive Patriot League Tournament championship game appearances. Shade coached the 2007-08 Patriot League Player of the Year and two First Team Patriot League selections along with players who received second team and rookie honors. Her duties included scouting the opposing teams, film breakdown and team travel.
