Track & Field Competes At Butler Open

Katie Johnson ran her fastest 100-meter hurdles time of the season. Johnson took first place after crossing the finish line in 13.73.
Redshirt senior Amber Williams competed as an unattached athlete. She won the 100-meter dash by finishing in 11.80.
Jenna Schmitmeyer finished first in the 400-meter hurdles. Schmitmeyer finished in 1:04.62. Johnson took third place in the race with a time of 1:06.04.
Lauren McNichols tied for first place in the high jump by clearing 5-3. She also took fourth place in the pole vault with a height of 11-01 ?.
Erin Filak finished third in the 400-meter dash clocking in at 1:01.48. Megan Bevans finished right behind her in fourth place with a time of 1:01.58.
Sarah Kehe led the distance group with a third place finish in the 800-meter run (2:20.84). She also finished fourth in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:24.87.
Cara Collins led the throwers with a second place finish in the hammer throw (166-06), and a sixth place finish in the discus (133-05).
