Milian Earns Academic All-MAC Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. ? Elizabeth Milian (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc H.S.) has been named to the 2008 Academic All-MAC Women's Softball Team as voted on by the league's faculty representatives.

Milian is majoring in math-actuarial science and holds the highest GPA on the team at 3.98.

She earned Second Team All-MAC Honors for her performance both on the mound and at the plate for BSU. Milian had an overall pitching record of 18-14, and also broke the single-season BSU save record with five. She threw 27 complete games and recorded 139 strikeouts. At the plate Milian hit .212 with 10 doubles, three triples, three home runs and 25 RBI.

Although Milian just completed her sophomore season, she has already made her mark in the career BSU softball records book. Milian is fifth all time in complete games (53), innings pitched (438.1) and wins (32).
