Track Competes In Mike Poehlein Invite

Amanda Barnhart and Terri Abraham led the Cardinals in the long jump. Barnhart finished second with a leap of 19-08 ?, while Abraham took third place with a distance of 19-04 ?.
Cara Collins finished fourth in the hammer throw with a distance of 164-00. She also placed sixth in the shot put (43-0 ?), and ninth in the discus (129-02).
On the track Ra'Jae Marable took third place in the 100-meter dash finishing in 12.84. Marable also finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (14.54).
Lindsay Bangert was right behind Marable in 100-meter dash to earn fourth place with a time of 12.88.
The 4x100 team of Marable, Bangert, Brandi Robinson and Katie Johnson finished in third place with a time of 48.17.
Johnson also competed in the 100-meter hurdles. She placed fourth with a time of 14.47.
Sarah Kehe and Kelsey Nielsen led the distance runners. Kehe placed fourth in the 1500-meter run (4:41.78), while Nielsen took second place in the 10000-meter run clocking in at 38:49.18.
The Cardinals will return to action next weekend to compete in the Miami Invitational.
