Track & Field Finish 6th At Miami

Ali Bishel, Katie Johnson and Amanda Barnhart all earned first place finishes for the Cardinals.
Johnson took first place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.03. She also placed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.08.
Jenna Schmitmeyer took fifth place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.32.
The 4x400 meter relay team of Brandi Robinson, Erin Filak, Schmitmeyer and Johnson finished in second place clocking in at 4:00.32.
The team of Lanae Stovall, Lindsay Bangert, Robinson and Johnson took third place in the 4x100 meter realy with a time of 48.93.
Stovall also had an 11th place finish in the 200-meter dash. Robinson placed 10th in the 400-meter dash (1:01.19), and took a 17th place finish in the 200-meter dash (26.84).
Bishel won the 5000-meter run with a time of 17:07.48. Teammates Kelsey Nielsen and Lisa Arrowsmith finished side by side in the 5000 with Nielsen crossing the finish line in 13th place (18:26.34) and Arrowsmith in 14th (18:29.92).
Bishel took ninth place in the 800-meter run (2:20.00). Sarah Kehe finished the 800 in 2:21.02 to place 11th, and also earned a 10th place finish in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:48.36.
Off the track, Barnhart took top honors in the long jump with a leap of 18-11 ?. Bangert finished sixth in the long jump with a distance of 17-10 ?.
Cara Collins led the throwers with multiple top-10 finishes. Collins finished fourth in the hammer throw with a mark of 167-01. She also placed fifth in the discus throw (137-05), and took seventh place in the shot put (40-11 ?).
