Men's Tennis Loses MAC Title Match To Top-Seeded Western Michigan

DeKalb, Ill. - The Ball State men's tennis team (12-13) ended its season with a 4-0 loss to top-seeded Western Michigan (20-7) in the Mid-American Conference Title match Saturday afternoon at Northern Illinois' Clock Tower Racquet Club.
Western Michigan claimed its third straight MAC title. The two rivals have faced each other in the final match for four straight years.
The Broncos got on the board first after winning the doubles point.
The Cardinals, trailing 1-0 heading into singles play lost at No. 1 singles first with Jose Perdomo dropping his match to Kevin Hayward 6-0, 6-0. WMU continued its winning ways posting wins at No. 6 and No. 3 to seal the championship.
Ball State's Shaun Bussert was up two sets at No. 5 singles over Bryan Norville, 6-3, 5-1 but the match was unfinished.
