DeMuth Earns Academic All-MAC Honors

DeMuth, a team tri-captain, owns a 3.41 G.P.A. in legal studies and guided the Cardinals to their second straight MAC West Division championship. She earned Third Team All-MAC honors this season and joined former Cardinals Tamara Bowie and Jenny Eckert as the only players in program history to be recognized with postseason honors from the MAC all four years of their playing careers. DeMuth earned First Team All-MAC honors as a junior, Third Team honors as a sophomore and was a member of the MAC All-Freshman team to go along with this season's Third Team selection.
DeMuth was second on the team in scoring at 11.5 points per game and in rebounding at 6.8 boards per contest. She scored in double figures in 17 games this season, including 10 times in MAC play. She became just the fourth player in
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for a particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award. The award is voted on by the faulty athletic representatives at MAC institutions.
