Gymnastics Falls To Bowling Green

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University gymnastics team (0-5. 0-4 MAC) fell to Bowling Green on Friday night in Irving Gymnasium, 188.100 to 187.050.

Senior Erica Gilkerson (North Branch, Minn./North Branch) earned a third place finish on vault after scoring a 9.575. Sophomore Bibiana Rodriguez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Academia Maria Reina) captured first place honors on bar with a 9.650 finish.

Sophomore Megan Howard (Jacksonville, Fla./Paxon) placed fourth on beam tying her personal best with a score of 9.450. Teammate senior Kristin Sprague (Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield) also finished fourth on beam.

Gilkerson finished third on floor with a 9.650.

Before the meet the Cardinals recognized alumnus Sarah Mikrut who was inducted into the Ball State Athletics Hall of Fame Friday evening.

BSU gymnastics also participated in "Think Pink Weekend" wearing pink ribbons and throwing out think pink t-shirts to the crowd to show their support.

The Ball State gymnastics team travels to the University of Denver on Saturday, Feb. 16. The meet will begin at 7 p.m.
