
Ball State Track & Field Competes In Indiana Relays

The Indiana Relays began on Friday with the prelims and continued on to Saturday.
Lauren McNichols recorded her best height of the season, and tied her overall best height in the pole vault competition. McNichols cleared 11-7 3/4, placing second in the open session.
Cara Collins placed seventh in the weight throw with a distance of 57-1.
BSU had two individuals place in the top-ten during the long jump. Amanda Barnhart took fifth place with a distance of 18-3, while freshman Lindsay Bangert finished in a tie for ninth place with a distance of 17-11.
Ra'Jae Marable set a personal best time in the 60-meter hurdles by finishing in tenth place with a time of 8.85. Katie Johnson finished 11th (8.87).
Bishel started day two with a first place finish in the 3000-meter run invitational (9:43.59). She was also part of the 4x800 meter relay team that finished in fifth place (9:18.10) along with Ade, Bevans and Lisa Arrowsmith.
Laura Bandy won the 3000-meter open run session with a time of 10:18.30, and Kelsey Nielsen finished the race in sixth place clocking in at 10:27.94.
Marable improved on her 60-meter hurdles time on day two by finishing in 8.82 (9th place).
Off the track, Barnhart and Collins each finished in sixth place in their respective events. Barnhart recorded a distance of 18-1 1/2 in the long jump, as Collins set a mark of 57-4 in the weight throw.
