Men's Tennis Loses At Purdue, 6-1

LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 road match at Big Ten foe Purdue Friday evening at Schwartz Tennis Center. With the loss the Cardinals fall to 6-6 on the season while Purdue improved to 6-4. Purdue was the fifth Big Ten opponent BSU has faced this season.
The Cardinals fell behind the Boilermakers early after losing the doubles point. The No. 2 duo of Eduardo Pavia and Bret Berryman had a near win over Purdues' Eric Ramos and P.J. Rose but lost 9-8 (7-1).
In singles action Berryman was the lone Cardinal to capture a victory over Purdue. The sophomore defeated Ramos at No. 4 by a score of 7-6, 4-6, 10-5.
Ball State men's tennis returns home Saturday, March 8 as they host IUPUI at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. The match will begin at 1 p.m.
