Swimming & Diving Continue Action At MAC?s

BUFFALO, NY - The Ball State University women's swimming and diving team stands in eighth place at the Mid-American Conference Championship held at the University of Buffalo after day two of events.

Katie Bylsma took 12th place honors in the 50 free event after clocking in a time of 24.21.

Stephanie Paul finished 11th in the 1-meter dive with a score of 217.00 and teammate Lisa Maertin earned 14th with a score of 210.05.

The quartet of Bylsma, Sarah Kehe, Addison Del Rio and Michelle Huang finished the night with a time of 1:37.01 in the 200 free relay.

Today ended with event seven and will continue Friday afternoon with the preliminaries and then finish with the finals in the night cap.

Event Notes:

Maddy Pilchard (EMU) broke the MAC and MAC meet record in the 500 free (4:46.83), her third straight win in the event. She also set a B cut.

Meg Reissig (Toledo) broke the MAC, MAC meet and UB pool records and set a B to win the 200 IM (2:01.24).

Leah Woodard (Toledo) tied her pool record that she set this morning in winning the 50 free in a B cut mark of 23.05.

EMU's 200 free relay (Ricard,Lee Ha, Burandt and Pilchard) set the MAC, MAC meet and pool records in winning the event in 1:32.08, also setting a B cut.
