Women's Basketball Travels To No. 13 Louisville

Scouting Ball State: The Cardinals in their first overtime game of the season defeated Evansville 81-78 in Worthen Arena Friday night. Ball State improved to 3-2 on the season. Senior guard Porchia Green managed a career-high 28 points. Ball State had three other players score in double figures, senior guard Kiley Jarrett knocked down 14 points while sophomore forward Emily Maggert netted 11 points. Junior forward Danielle Gratton earned her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 boards. The Cardinals will play their first ranked opponent of the season when BSU travels to No. 11 Louisville Sunday. Tip-off is at Noon in Freedom Hall.
Scouting No. 13 Louisville: The Cardinals own a 6-1 record. Louisville's only loss of the season came Nov. 29 at Nevada. Nevada defeated the Cardinals 85-82. Louisville has earned wins over Tennessee Tech, Austin Peay, Xavier, Utah, Alabama and Middle Tennessee. In their last game vs. Middle Tennessee, Angel McCoughtry had a game-high 24 points and 13 rebounds. Louisville is coached by Jeff Walz.
Series History: Louisville leads the all-time series 3-1. Louisville defeated Ball State 81-62 last season at Worthen Arena.
Next Up: Ball State will face Wright State Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Worthen Arena.
