Scouting Ball State: The Cardinals fell to 2-2 on the season with a 91-68 loss at Illinois State Nov. 25. Freshman Patrice King (St. Louis, Mo./St. Joseph's Academy) led the Cardinals in scoring with a personal best 16 points. King was 8-of-9 from the charity stripe. Junior Danielle Gratton (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) netted 13 points while teammate sophomore Emily Maggert (Paris, Ill./Paris) finished the night with 12. Ball State faces Evansville Friday night in Worthen Arena for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
Scouting Evansville: Evansville fell to 4-2 on the season after losing to Butler 70-52 Wednesday night at Roberts Stadium. The Purple Aces had two players score in double figures. Amy Gallagher led the squad with 13 points and teammate Shannon Novosel added 11. Evansville has posted wins so far this season over ETSU (83-73, Wright State (63-59), UAB (62-47) and Samford (58-54). The Purple Aces are 1-1 on the road.
Series History: Evansville leads the all-time series record 4-3. The Purple Aces defeated the Cardinals last season 70-55 in Evansville.
