Women's Basketball Heads To Illinois State

Scouting Ball State:
The Cardinals improved to 2-1 on the season after earning back-to-back wins in the preseason WNIT consolation round Friday and Saturday. Ball State earned an 85-81 win over Robert Morris and then continued its winning ways with a 61-60 victory against Cleveland State. The Cardinals now travel to Normal, Ill., to take on the Illinois State Redbirds Tuesday at Redbird Arena. Tip-off is at 8 p.m.
Scouting Robert Morris: Illinois State is now 1-2 on the season. The Redbirds earned its first victory when they defeated Robert Morris 94-82 Saturday evening at Worthen Arena. Senior guard Kristi Cirone scored a career-high 35 points in the Redbirds win. Illinois State participated in the preseason WNIT consolation round at Ball State Friday and Saturday but the two teams never had to face one another. Illinois State is member of the Missouri Valley Conference and it is coached by Robin Pingeton.
