Bussert and Rodriguez Compete At Wilson/ITA Regional Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Sophomore Shaun Bussert (Decatur, Ga./Decatur) of the Ball State University men's tennis team along with fellow Cardinal senior Jorge Rodriguez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/San Ignacio) competed today at the Wilson/ITA Regional Championships qualifier held at Ohio State.
Bussert claimed a first round qualifying win over Bryce Warren of Butler, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1. Rodriguez dropped his match to Illinois' Abe Souza, 6-3, 7-5. Bussert then lost to Richard Canelas of Xavier, 6-4, 6-4.
Ball State men's tennis continues action at the Wilson/ITA Regional Championships Friday.
