NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Ball State University men's tennis team finished its competition at the Tom Fallon Invitational Sunday afternoon at the Courtney Tennis Center & Eck Tennis Pavilion.
In singles action senior Jorge Rodriguez took down Michigan State's John Stratton, 6-4. 6-3. Sophomore Shaun Bussert managed a 6-4, 6-4 victory over the Spartans Clark Richardson. Freshmen Zane Smith and Andres Monroy both captured three set victories for the Cardinals.
Ball State ended competition with three doubles victories. Perdomo and teammate senior Jorge Rodriguez won over Wisconsin's Rassow-Kantor and Notre Dame's Yoshii, 8-3. The twosome of freshman Dave Thomas and Bussert won over Michigan State's Stratton and Brooks, 8-6 and freshman Derek Carpenter and Smith were victorious over the Spartans Rasmussen and Gardner, 9-7.
The Ball State University men's tennis team will participate in the ITA Regional held in Columbus, Ohio Thursday through Sunday.
