Cardinals Struggle On Day Two; Finish 15th At Crooked Stick

CARMEL, Ind. -- Senior Kallie Harrison shot a first-round 74, but followed with a second-round 81 to tie for 30th overall as the Ball State women's golf team finished tied for 15th at the highly competitive Indiana Invitational.
The 17-team event, which was heavy with teams from the Big Ten, was played at Crooked Stick Golf Course in Carmel, Ind.
Michigan battled back on day two to pass Michigan State to win the team title. The Wolverines shot 295 Tuesday to edge MSU by three strokes.
Only one Cardinal managed a sub-80 round on Tuesday as Ball State posted a final-round 328 to fall from 11th into 15th with a two-round score of 643.
While Harrison's 74 was the overall highlight of the Cardinals on Monday, Sarah Windlan knocked in her first collegiate hole-in-one on Crooked Stick's par-three 13th hole.
For the 36 holes, Harrision was BSU's top performer finishing tied for 30th (74-81), while Kirsty O'Connor tied for 57th (78-82).
Amy Roberts tied for 65th (76-86), Melissa Miller tied for 79th (87-79) and Sarah Windlan placed 92nd (88-89).
