
Women's Tennis Loses To Toledo, 5-2

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University women's tennis team (6-10, 1-3 MAC) dropped its last home match of the season to Mid-American Conference opponent Toledo by a score of 5-2 on Saturday afternoon at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.
Toledo took an early 1-0 lead after winning the doubles point at the start of the match. The Cardinals duo of Stephanie Farrar and Polina Askerko earned the lone doubles victory after defeating Jenny Belsky and Sarah Horning 8-3 at the No. 3 flight.
Sophie Quist dropped her first set 6-2 to Toledo's Myriam Cueva before rallied back for a 7-6, (7-4), 7-5 victory at No. 1 singles. At the No. 5 spot Emma Retter also came from behind after losing the first set and posted a 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 win over Belsky.
Ball State continues league action on Friday, April 6 at Western Michigan. The meet is set to begin at 1 pm.
