CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Ball State University women's tennis team dropped its dual match against the College of Charleston by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday night.
The Cardinals dropped all of their doubles matches to lose the first point.
In singles action Ball State collected victories at the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 spots. Newcomer Sophie Quist tallied a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 win over Chelsea Albertz at the No. 1 flight. Junior Haly Calderwood followed in her teammate's footsteps with a win over Anna Lee Evans, 6-4, 6-0. Freshman Katherine Rist nabbed a 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 6 singles to end the day.
Ball State continues its spring trip on Thursday, March 15 against UNC-Wilmington at 2 pm.
