Track Team Travels To Akron For MAC Championships

The women's track and field team will travel to Akron, Ohio for the Mid-American Conference Championships. The meet will take place at the University of Akron Athletics Field House.
The meet is a two-day event starting Friday, Feb. 23rd at 11:00 a.m. and ending Saturday after the completion of the men's 4x400 meter relay.
Amber Williams was named the MAC Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Ball State Quadrangular.
Williams ran her fastest 60-meter hurdle time of the season clocking in at 8.26 a time that betters her NCAA qualifying time. She also won the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.04 her fastest time of the season.
Lauren McNichols has set a new Ball State indoor track record reaching 11-03.75 in the pole vault. McNichols who came into the season with the third-best height, passed Angie Hay's mark of 10-10.25.
