Women's Swimming and Diving Remain In Seventh Heading Into Final Day Of MAC's

YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Ball State University women's swimming and diving team remained in seventh place heading into the final day of competition on Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Mid-American Conference Championships.
Senior Mary Brinkoetter clocked in a 4:28.15 final which was good for a third place in the 400 IM. Frehman Kelly Johnson took seventh in the 100 fly after clocking in a 57.78 final.
Freshman Sarah Kehe took 12th place in the 200 free (1:54.21) while teammate junior Addison Del Rio earned a time of 1:05.86 in the 100 breast which was good for ninth place. Freshman Emily Hurst finished 16th in that event (1:07.55).
Senior Brittany Sayler recorded a 57.60 in the 100 back for fifth place.
The Cardinals closed out the day with an eighth place finish in the 400 medley relay.
The events for the final day of competition (Feb. 17) include the three-meter dive, 1650-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard butterfly and 400-yard freestyle relay. The preliminary round will begin at 11 a.m. with finals slated to begin at 7 p.m. in Jones Natatorium. The final awards ceremony is set to begin at 9:15 p.m.
