
Women's Swimming And Diving Earns Win At Akron

AKRON, Ohio -- The Ball State women's swimming and diving team earned a 161-139 victory Friday at Akron.
Addison Del Rio took home three individual first places finishes to lead the Cardinals, while Mary Ehresman and Maria Gramelspacher each took first place in two events.
Del Rio grabbed first place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:07.24. She added victories in the 100-yard freestyle (53.55) and 200-yard individual medley (2:08.70).
Ehresman took first in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:32.17 and the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:10.77. Gramelspacher won the 200-yard freestyle, clocking in at 1:53.53, and the 100-yard butterfly, recording a time of 57.26.
Gramelspacher and Del Rio were also members of Ball State's first place 200-yard medley relay team, and Gramelspacher took home another first place finish as a member of the Cardinals' 400-yard freestyle relay team.
For the evening, Ball State placed first in nine of the meet's 16 events.
