
Volleyball?s Rally Falls Short At Kent State

KENT, Ohio - - After dropping the first two games, the Ball State women's volleyball team rallied to win the third set, only to suffer 3-1 (30-27, 30-18, 27-30, 30-20) setback to Kent State Saturday night at the M.A.C. Center in Kent Ohio.
With the loss, the Cardinals slide to 2-6 in Mid-American Conference action, while dropping to 3-17 overall. The Golden Flashes improve to 15-6 (6-2 MAC) with the victory.

In the third game, the teams battled through 11 ties and six lead changes, only to see the game tied at 24. A kill from Kakatolis and an Alcorn service gave BSU a 26-24, and the Cardinals did not trail the rest of the way, winning the game 30-27 on back-to-back
The Golden Flashes rebounded quickly after the game three loss, jumping out to a 7-0 advantage in the fourth game, before going on to win 30-20. BSU did manage to fight back within three points at 12-9, only to allow KSU to reclaim its seven-point advantage at the 16-9 mark.
The Cardinals finished the match with a .082 (54-38-195) attack percentage, while adding 91 digs, nine team blocks and a pair of aces.
The Golden Flashes hit .156 (56-27-186) in the match, while adding 87 digs, 11 team blocks and eight service aces.
