Phillips Named MAC Men?s Tennis Player of the Week

MUNCIE, Ind. - Aaron Phillips (Effingham, Ill./Saint Anthony), a junior memberof the Ball State University men's tennis team, has been named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, which was announced by the league office today.
Phillips defeated No. 19 Christian Tempke 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (12-10) of Northwestern in No. 2 singles, Friday, Jan. 19. Phillips also won in No. 2 doubles alongside teammate Jorge Rodriguez after defeating Alex Sanborn and Marc Dwyer, 8-5.
Ball State continues its competition against Big Ten opponents went it plays No. 5 Illinois Friday, Jan. 26 at 7 pm in Carmel, Ind.
