Gymnastics Loses Conference Opener at Kent State

Freshman Megan Howard, competing in all four events for the Cardinals, led her team with a 37.500 in her conference debut. Her strongest routine was the bars with a score of 9.625.
Senior Jenna Tarkington showed her strength as an upperclassmen as she tied for first place on vault with a 9.800. Junior Erica Gilkerson shined with her floor routine with a fourth place finish and a career high (9.775). Gilkerson also had a strong showing on beam after earning a 9.625 which was also good for a fourth place finish and tied her career high on vault after scoring a 9.750. Senior Kelly Watson also performed well on vault after scoring a career high 9.775. Senior Lauren West managed a career high on floor (9.700).
