
Swimming and Diving Wins at Illinois State

NORMAL, Ill. - The Ball State University women's swimming and diving team defeated Illinois State on Monday afternoon by a score of 190 to 110.
The Cardinal foursome of Katie Jasmon, Emily Hurst, Erika Paul and Kelly Johnson opened the meet up with a win in the 200 yard medley relay after clocking in an event best 1:52.10.
Meghan Patterson took first in the 1000 free with a time of 10:39.74 while teammate Mary Ehresman took second (10:41.49).
Sarah Kehe swam her way to the top with a win in the 200 yard free (1:56.61). Brittany Sayler managed first in the 100 back (59.87), Addison Del Rio took top honors in the 100 breast (1:07.94) and Michelle Braden earned first with a time of 2:12.57 in the 200 yard IM.
Stephanie Paul and Katie Boyle went one-two respectively in the three meter dive. Paul scored a 273.75 while Boyle finished with a final score of 264.08. Paul and Boyle also went one-two respectively in the one meter dive with Paul scoring a 258.15 and Boyle compiled a total of 244.05.
Ball State swimming and diving continues action on Saturday, Jan. 20 at Toledo. The meet is set to begin at 1 pm.
