Soccer Posts Scoreless Tie Against Portland State

Ball State goalkeeper Rachael Murphy notched her first career shutout in the scoreless tie. Murphy recorded two saves as she played all 120 minutes for the second time this season.
The Cardinals dominated play for most of the 120 minutes of action as they out-shot the Vikings by a 25-11 margin. Junior forward Sarah Leibel spearheaded the attack as she finished with a season-high seven shots on the afternoon.
Ball State was unable to crack Portland State goalkeeper Rachel Jarvis who finished with a season-high 11 saves. The Cardinals also ran into some tough luck as sophomore Katelyn Alexander hit the cross bar in the 32nd minute and sophomore Leah Johnson found the post in the 111th minute.
