Men's Tennis Dominates Singles Action Against Western Michigan

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The Ball State University men's tennis team finished its second day of action at the Tom Fallon Invitational hosted by the University of Notre Dame on Saturday evening. The Cardinals won four of its six singles matches over Mid-American Conference rival Western Michigan.
Joe Epkey (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) defeated Brady Crosby 6-4, 6-2 while teammate Jarrod Epkey (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) captured a 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 victory over the Broncos Tim Bradshaw. Tetta Oyama (Shizauoka, Japan) grabbed a 1-6, 6-3, 10-2 win over Alejandro Staub and Jose Perdodo (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico/Colegio San Jose) earned a 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 decision over WMU's R.K. Bacalla.
In doubles action the Cardinal duo of Jimmy Brannon (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) and Bret Berryman (Blue Springs, Mo./Blue Springs South) posted a 8-6 victory over Purdue twosome Paul Foley and Scott Warner.
Ball State will conclude its play at the Tom Fallon Invitational on Sunday (Sept. 24).
