Women's Golf Second In Season Opener; Roberts Fires 75

The Cardinals posted a team score of 310 in the season's first event to place behind the University of Indianapolis, which fired a team score of 308 to earn the team title.
Freshman Amy Roberts paced the Cardinals and placed third overall with a 75. Kallie Harrison and Chelsie Flannery -- playing as individuals -- each fired a 76, while Ashley Burgess followed with a 77.
Roberts, Harrison, Flannery and Burgess each were named to the All-Tournament Team for low five scores among the event's competitors. Kristi Piepenbrink of the University of Indianapolis earned medalist honors with a round of 71. Bethel's Shanna Page had the second low score on the day, shooting a 74.
