May 26, 2006 | Softball
MUNCIE, Ind. -- The contracts of Ball State head softball coach Terri Laux and assistant softball coach Cris Lukas will not be renewed, according to BSU Athletics Director Tom Collins.
"It is my determination to make a change in the direction of our softball program at Ball State," Collins said. "We appreciate the energy and effort Terri has put into this program for the past 10 years and Cris for the past two. We will honor the remainder of their contracts."
Laux completed her 10th season at Ball State this spring. She compiled an overall record of 222-283-1 during her tenure, including one Mid-American Conference Tournament title and NCAA berth in 1998. Lukas recently wrapped up her second year at the university.
A search for their replacements will begin immediately.
