Men's Tennis Advances to MAC Championship

The Cardinals earned the all-important doubles point with Tony and Jarrod Epkey's 8-1 rout at No. 2 combined with Patrick Thompson and Joe Vallee's 8-1 win at the No. 3 slot. BSU picked up singles wins at No. 1, No. 4 and No. 6. Matt Baccarani scored a 6-2, 7-5 win over Brian Livingston at No. 1. Thompson added a 7-6 (1), 6-1 verdict over David Katz at No. 4, and Danny Vidal posted a 6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 6 slot.
BSU, which captured its 19th regular-season MAC title with a perfect 5-0 mark this spring, will attempt to post its 17th league tournament crown tomorrow at 1 p.m. against the winner of the Western Michigan vs. Toledo match.
