Men's Volleyball Hosts Lewis Saturday

The Cardinals - - who enter the match with a 17-6 (5-4 MIVA) record - - are currently fourth in the MIVA's Shondell/Dunlop division, behind No. 10 Loyola (17-6, 7-1 MIVA), No. 12 IPFW (16-5, 7-2 MIVA) and No. 13 Ohio State (16-7, 4-2 MIVA).
On Tuesday, BSU scored a 3-0 (30-7, 30-7, 30-12) victory over Central State, giving head coach Joel Walton is 150th career coaching victory.
Last Friday, the Cardinals suffered a 1-3 (27-30, 29-31, 30-28, 19-30) setback at No. 10 Loyola, before topping Quincy 3-1 (20-30, 30-22, 30-20, 30-24) on Saturday.
Lewis - - who is in its final year of a postseason ban for NCAA rules violations - - enters the weekend with a 9-13 overall record, including a 2-5 MIVA slate. The record includes a 3-0 (30-25, 30-24, 30-14) BSU win on Feb. 3, which opened the Cardinals' league slate. On Tuesday, the Flyers posted a 3-1 (30-26, 30-27, 25-30, 30-26) victory over California Santa Cruz.
Including the 3-0 win earlier in the year, the Cardinals maintain a 17-14 advantage in the all-time series with Lewis, which includes matches forfeited by the Flyers for using ineligible players from 2001-2003. BSU has won the last two matches between the two clubs and nine of the last 13 meetings.
The Cardinals are 9-6 all-time vs. Lewis in Muncie, including a 3-0 (30-24, 30-17, 30-28) victory in the most recent contest last season (March 25).
