Men's Tennis Starts Off Boise State Invitational with 6-0 Victory over Lewis-Clark State College

All six singles matches were decided in straight sets with the Cardinals taking all six. Senior Matt Baccarani and junior Joe Epkey defeated their opponents -- Borja Molas and Ari Zaslow -- 6-2, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-1 in the top two singles spots, respectively. Senior Tony Epkey had little trouble with Cedric DuFour at the No. 3 position (6-0, 6-4), while fellow senior Patrick Thompson took down Andy Hunt 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 4 slot. Sophomore Jarrod Epkey defeated Dustin Forsyth 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 and freshman Joe Vallee captured a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Ali Faris Mohamed to round out singles play.
No doubles matches were played.
The Cardinals continue competition Thursday when they play the winner of Central Florida versus Georgia State at 3:30 p.m.
