Hurst Named MAC Swimmer of the Week

MUNCIE, Ind. - Freshman Emily Hurst (Zionsville, Ind./North Central) of the Ball State University swimming and diving team has been named the Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week, which was announced by the league office today.
Hurst swam her way to three first place finishes to help the Cardinals capture the Third Annual Doug Coers Invitational which was held at Lewellen Aquatic Center (Nov. 17-18). Hurst earned first place in the 200 breast (2:24.72), 400 IM (4:36.24) and 100 breast (1:07.99). With her success Hurst was tabbed High Point Swimmer for the meet after earning the most points on the weekend.
Ball State continues action on Friday (Dec. 1) at the House of Champions in Indianapolis.
