
Ball State competes against Miami University

OXFORD, Ohio - The Ball State Cardinals swimming and diving team faced Miami University this weekend at the Nixon Aquatic Center.
Ball State sophomore Kyle Hembree won the Men's 1000 Yard Freestyle, and also went on to win the Men's 400 Yard IM.
Freshmen Ben Karwoski placed first in the Men's 200 Yard Freestyle. Karwoski helped the team by also finishing first in the Men's 200 Yard Butterfly event.
The Men's diving team took first, second, and third in the 1 meter diving event. Senior Zach Whitaker led the way with David Linn finishing second, and Freshman Adam Jones placed third.
Stephanie Paul finished first in the Women 3 meter diving event.
Brittany Sayler won the 100 Yard Backstroke, as well as the 200 Yard Backstroke. Senior Mary Brinkkoetter finished in second place in the 200 Yard Backstroke.
The Women 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Kelly Johnson, Erika Paul, Brittany Sayler, and Michelle Huang finished first for Ball State with the team of Katie Jasmon, Lauren Harger, Chelsea, and Sarah Kehe placing second.
