Men's Tennis Finishes First Day at Louisville Invitational

LOUISVILLE, KY. - The Ball State University men's tennis team ended its first day of action at the University of Louisville Invitational on Friday evening.
Tetta Oyama (Shizauoka, Japan) defeated Brad Groleski (CSU) by score of 7-6, 7-1, 6-0 before losing to David Simon in the night cap 6-1, 6-4.
Teammate Jose Perdomo (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico/San Ignacio) advanced to the semifinals after posting a win over Ryan Hamming (CSU) 6-4, 6-4 and Andy Ture (WKU) 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.
In flight C singles Ball State's Jorge Rodriguez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/San Ignacio) captured a win over Brian Quinn (XU) 6-3, 6-1.
In doubles action the duo of Perdomo and Oyama upset Biericit/McGeorge of Iowa, 8-5. Ball State continues action in Louisville on Saturday (Oct. 7).
