Men's Tennis Ends Fall Season At ITA Regional

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. ? The Ball State University men's tennis team struggled in its last day at the ITA Regional on Sunday (Oct. 22).
After winning his singles match on Saturday (Oct. 21), Joe Epkey (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) dropped a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 decision to Nollen Polley of Wisconsin in round 32 singles action on Sunday. Fellow teammate Aaron Phillips (Effingham, Ill./Saint Anthony) also lost 6-7, 7-5, 6-0 to David Simon of Louisville.
The Cardinal duo of Phillips and Jorge Rodriguez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/San Ignacio) suffered an 8-6 loss to Ohio State's Chris Klingerman and Devin Mullings in round 16 doubles.
Ball State will begin its spring season in Muncie against IUPUI on Saturday (Jan. 13). First serve is at 1:00 pm.
