Men's Swimming Suffers Loss To Miami, 145-96

Muncie, Ind. -- The Ball State men's swimming and diving team suffered a 145-96 setback to Miami Saturday afternoon at Lewellen Aquatic Center. The loss was the first Mid-American Conference defeat for the Cardinals, who dropped to 1-1 in league contests.
The Ball State relay squad earned a first-place mark in the 400 freestyle relay. Kurtis Leer, Jagen Arnold, Dustin Fulkerson, and Jim Lullo combined for a time of 3:16.61 in the event.
Adam Konopka earned first place times in the 200 IM (1:59.64) and 200 backstroke (1:59.03).
Kurtis Leer clocked a first-place time of 47.45 in the 100 freestyle.
The Ball State men's swimming and diving team will return to action next weekend at the Doug Coers Invitational in Muncie, Ind. The Ball State men's and women's team will be competing in the two day event held at Lewellen Aquatic Center.
