Walter Pesavento

Pesavento was a star full fullback, linebacker, and punter on the gridiron for the Cardinals in addition to pitching for the BSU baseball team. A three-year football letterman, he earned both all-state and All-Indiana Collegiate Conference honors in 1937 and 1938, leading the league in punting both seasons and topping the state in scoring as a junior.
Pesavento also lettered in baseball three years, striking out 17 batters in one game in 1938 and collecting seven victories in 1939.
