Huber, who earned three varsity letters in both football and baseball at Ball State, enjoyed a distinguished career as a high school and college football coach since his 1967 graduation from BSU. Huber was named the Cardinals’ Most Valuable Player as a senior in 1963 in football after helping the team to a 5-3 overall record. He was also named to the All-Indiana Collegiate Conference Second-Team as a senior in football. In the 1964 baseball season, Huber was named to the All-ICC First-Team plus was named BSU’s honorary captain, after helping the team to a 14-7 overall record. Huber became the football coach at Warsaw Community High School, where he led the team to the Northern Lakes Conference Championship in two out of three season in 1990 and 1992.
