Harvey, a two-time All-Mid-American Conference defensive back, helped BSU to its first MAC football championship in 1976 and participated in the 1977 East-West Shrine Game before playing six seasons in the National Football League with Denver, Green Bay, Detroit, and Tampa Bay. He started 29 straight games for the Packers, including all 16 in 1981 when he set a club record with an average of 36.2 yards on interception returns.
