Kronauge, a 1992 graduate of Ball State, was a member of the tennis team for three seasons and compiled a 99-32 overall singles record. As a senior, Kronauge and doubles partner Paul Kruse, entered the 1992 NCAA Championships as the nation’s No. 2 ranked doubles duo and advanced to the round of 16 at the NCAA Tournament. Entering the 1992 NCAA Tournament as the nation’s No. 3 seed, Kronauge and Kruse became Ball State’s first-ever tennis All-Americans. In addition, Kronauge became BSU’s first-ever individual to compete at the NCAAs in 1992. He entered the tourney ranked 25th in the nation in singles. As a junior, Kronauge and doubles partner Scott Campbell advanced to the final 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Kronauge won his third straight MAC singles title and a third straight MAC doubles crown as a senior. A two-time All-MAC selection, Kronauge ended his senior season with a 36-8 singles record.
