Wendy Richards is in her 20th season as the head coach of the Ball State University coed cheerleaders . . . A 1988 graduate of Ball State, Richards was a three-year member of the Cardinals' cheerleading squad . . . In addition to her coaching duties, Richards works for Varsity Spirit as a sales representative for cheerleading uniforms and accessories . . . The former Wendy Spegal, she and her husband, Ball State ticket manager Rob Richards, are the proud parents of one son, Ryan Richards.
